Qualification Criteria For Diploma Programmes

The Institute of Accountancy Training ensures a transparent and inclusive admission process for its Diploma Programmes. Below are the qualification criteria for the 2024/2025 academic year:

1. Diploma in Public Finance and Accounting (DiPFA)

Affiliated with the University of Ghana

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

• SSSCE:
  • Passes (A-D) in English Languageand Core Mathematics.
  • Credit Passes in four (4) additional subjects.
• WASSCE/GBCE:
  • Passes (A1-D7) in three (3) Core Subjects, including English Languageand Core Mathematics.
  • Credit Passes in three (3) other subjects.

2. Diploma in Public Administration (DPA)

Affiliated with the University of Ghana

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

• SSSCE:
  • Passes (A-D) in English Languageand Core Mathematics.
  • Credit Passes in four (4) additional subjects.
• WASSCE/GBCE:
  • Passes (A1-D7) in three (3) Core Subjects, including English Languageand Core Mathematics.
  • Credit Passes in three (3) other subjects.

3. Diploma in Public Finance and Accountancy (DPFA)

Awarded by CTVET

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

• SSSCE:
  • Five (5) Passes, including English Language, Core Mathematics, and two (2) Electives (A-E).
• WASSCE:
  • Five (5) Passes, including English Language, Core Mathematics, and two (2) Electives (A1-E8).
• New Certificate II:
  • Five (5) Passes, including English Languageand Mathematics.
• Certificate Holders:
  • Completion of a one-year Certificate Programmein a relevant field from an accredited institution.

Additional Notes:

• Applicants must ensure that their qualifications align with the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) standards.
• Meeting the minimum qualification criteria does not guarantee admission, as the selection process is competitive and based on merit.
